Growth is not about becoming someone else. Growth is about choosing to show up as the best version of yourself.— Omar L. Harris, Grow With W.H.O.M.
Most growth advice tells you what to do differently. This book asks something more fundamental: who are you becoming?
Through the W.H.O.M. framework — Work-Ethic, Heart, Optimism, and Maturity — you'll discover your unique character signature, understand your strengths and growth edges, and build habits that compound over a lifetime.
The W.H.O.M. Assessment takes 30-45 minutes. Here is exactly what that time looks like — and the character signature and growth map you walk away with.
No credit card required. Your results are yours — we don’t sell your data. Full details on what we store live on the assessment platform.
A sample result, shown as you would see it. Just as no two fingerprints are the same, no two character signatures are identical.
No. Personality tests assign you a type. W.H.O.M. gives you a growth map across four character dimensions that change as you grow. Full explanation: why character, not personality.
The framework is grounded in established research. The four dimensions map to constructs with decades of peer-reviewed evidence behind them: conscientiousness and perseverance predicting performance (Barrick & Mount, 1991; Duckworth et al., 2007), character strengths and psychological safety driving trust (Peterson & Seligman, 2004; Edmondson, 2019), explanatory style predicting resilience (Seligman, 1990), and emotional regulation and self-awareness underpinning judgment (Grossmann, 2019). The forced-choice format is deliberate too: self-rating scales are easy to game, while trading two good options against each other reduces social-desirability bias (Arthur & Villado, 2016).
The instrument itself was independently reviewed by a chartered psychometrician (Pawsometrics) across two phases in 2026. Formal validation — convergent and discriminant studies against the Big Five and HEXACO, factor analysis, test-retest reliability — requires response data at scale, and that is the current phase. We will publish those results rather than claim them in advance.
W.H.O.M. is a development instrument, not a selection or clinical tool. Full references are in the book, Grow With W.H.O.M.
Those tools type or rank you. W.H.O.M. shows you where you are today and where you can grow. Full breakdowns: W.H.O.M. vs MBTI, vs CliftonStrengths, and vs VIA Character Strengths.
The assessment takes 30-45 minutes and produces a one-page signature you can reference anytime.
